The Irish Poker Open is a very successful poker tournament. The Irish Open saw 701 new sign ups in the Main Event last year build a prize pool of just under $3 million. This year saw both buy-in increases as well as a slight field increase to 708 players bringing the prize pool above the $3 million mark.
But what is really telling about the success of this tournament is the feedback from the players who attend it. Every year people rave about the amazing city of Dublin, the fun and friendly Dubliners they meet and the well-run tournament. Poker lovers couldn’t be happier as there are an ever-increasing number of cash games at the tournament with plenty of action at the Omaha tables.
This year saw a total of 5 tournaments run at the Irish Open including Event #5 ($380 + $85 NL Holdem), Event #4 ($2,114 + $211 NL Holdem), Event #3 ($423 + $43 Ladies Championship), Event #2 ($1,057 + $106 NL Pot-Limit Omaha Championship) and the Main Event ($4,508 + $423 NL Holdem).
