There will be several changes comming up for anyone that has been following the 2010 WSOP schedule: The tournament series will still hold 57 tournaments, but it seems that there will be more attention placed on events with lower buy-in and ones with larger buy-in.
The $50k Players Championship has taken tha place of The $50k HORSE tournament –an 8-game mix featuring a final table of strictly No Limit Texas Hold em which will put the event with the largest buy-in back into ESPN’s TV schedule. The HORSE tournament will be one of the $10k Championship Events.
A $25k 6-Max No Limit Texas Hold em event has been added in an attempt to cash in on the short-handed trend that is running amock within the high stakes online poker games.
Last year’s $1,000 tournament was such a great success that the 2010 WSOP schedule offers six events of this kind with one event to be held every week for five weeks, and the final $1,000 tournament will be taking place on the 2nd of July with all $1k events being No Limit Texas Hold em.
